|Heat Treatment (HT): Complying with the strictest export requirements
More and more countries decide to conform to the international packaging standards in accordance with the requirements of ISPM No. 15. The key requirement in this is the fact that wood packaging has to undergo a so-called heat treatment (HT) before it may freely be imported and/or exported. This is leading to a rapid increase in the demand for HT packaging.
For more information on ISPM No. 15, see our page on "International packaging standards".
Stam Hout Pallets & Kisten B.V. possesses an ultramodern dry kiln and is therefore capable of managing all the required heat treatments on its own. The benefits for the customers are obvious:
- Low costs
The entire process of heat treatment is monitored and controlled by computer. Should the customer wish so, a heat treatment report can of course be drawn up.

Drying: A matter of patience
The dry kiln is of course not only suitable for heat treatment but also for wood drying. The drying process of wood and/or wooden pallets is a question of gradualism. If you abstract moisture from wood too fast it is likely to split, while the products might also shrink or distort.
Due to the expert computer-aided monitoring of the entire drying process by specialised employees in our company, Stam Hout Pallets & Kisten B.V. is capable of meeting the quality requirements from customers. Given that the drying process is carried out with a direct gas burner with a 100% gas performance, Stam delivers this all to you at the lowest possible cost price!
